Partner with NBAF
From the early stages of construction to the finished operational laboratory, NBAF's arrival brings new possibilities for businesses. Kansas State University and the Manhattan community offer many opportunities for businesses to grow while maintaining proximity to important federal, state and corporate partners.
Once operational, NBAF is expected to employ about 350 people full-time. It also is expected to bring an additional 40 businesses and laboratories and generate an economic return of $3.5 billion in its first 20 years.
Kansas State University's Manhattan campus is developing the north campus corridor to expand the university's research park and to provide a commercial office park. The north campus corridor will offer more than 50 acres for new building space, training facilities and satellite offices.
KBED is a unique partnership between K-State, University-related entities and the area’s leading economic development agencies. It is one of the first truly integrated University/community economic development initiatives to focus on the attraction of, as well as the creation of, small knowledge-based businesses.
