KLabs, opening in 2021, will offer dedicated and shared laboratory facilities for up to 15 companies and 55 researchers. Members will have 24/7 access to shared equipment, meeting rooms and office spaces. KLabs is open to public and private partners that strengthen Kansas State University. The building will also include open-desk workspace, conference rooms, gathering space for casual or formal meetings and a lobby that can transform to host events. Construction is expected to begin in 2019 and be completed in 2021.

This building is located directly across the street from the Kansas State University Ice College of Engineering and has quick access to the remainder of campus, including the K-State Student Union, College of Agriculture, College of Architecture, Planning & Design, College of Arts and Sciences, Edgerly College of Business, College of Health and Human Sciences, and College of Veterinary Medicine. The National Bio- and Agro-Defense Facility is located less than a mile north on Denison Avenue.
